Reliance Jio announces 'JIO SUMMER SURPRISE' Offer and more

Reliance Jio has extended the Jio Prime offer date to 15 April. The reasoning behind this is to ensure more Jio subscribers get the option to upgrade to the Jio Prime membership plan, which offers benefits over non Prime membership plans.
Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, wrote a letter addressed to the customers. So far around 72 million Jio customers have signed up for the Jio Prime offer according to Ambani.
"This extension will provide the necessary breathing room for users to avoid service disruption during the transition from free to paid services. Customers who could not enrol for JIO PRIME by 31st March for whatever reason can still do so by paying Rs 99 along with their first purchase of Jio's Rs 303 and other plans till 15th April," the statement said.
"Every JIO PRIME member when they make their first paid recharge prior to 15th April using Jio's Rs 303 plan (or any higher value plan) will get services for the initial three months on a complimentary basis. Your paid tariff plan will be applied only in July, after the expiry of the complimentary service," Chairman Mukesh Ambani said in a letter to customers.
Subscribers, both old and new, can avail the offer through Rs 99 recharge pack. There a number of ways in which this can be done. "Recharge with Rs 99 Jio Prime membership before 31 March 2017 from MyJio, JioMoney, Jio.com or nearest retailer," notes the company.
"This complimentary period will also help to familiarize Jio customers with Jio's fully digital, self-service process of using the MyJio app to perform recharges and to set up digital payment methods for further purchases," Ambani added. The statement also announced that this is just one the many surprises lined up Jio Prime members, not revealing any future plans however.
"In just one month, over 72 million (and still counting!) Jio customers have signed up for Jio Prime. We, at Jio, are honoured and grateful for this tremendous response. I want to personally thank you for choosing Jio, and for being a founding member of the Jio movement. A movement to transform India. A movement to empower and enrich each one of you with the revolutionary power and possibilities of Digital Life," said Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, in a letter addressed to the customers.
RIL introduced Jio Prime starting from March 1. The benefits that it brings to the table include:
Unlimited benefits of free voice (Local, STD, Roaming, to any operator, anywhere in India), data and SMS that you have been currently using till March 31, 2018 for Rs 303 per month. You could also choose to enhance your benefits at nominal incremental fees.
Complimentary benefit of Jio's premium content bouquet worth Rs 10,000 for an entire year.
